Partnership Agreements

Bearing in mind the number of Doctors who find themselves in dispute with their partners, it is imperative that a Practice should have a properly drafted partnership agreement. Yet it is a stunning statistic that less than 5% of partners of GP Practices have any such agreement.

A modern GP practice should have a current partnership agreement which takes account of the provisions of the post 2004 GMS NHS Contract. The document should deal not only with the day-to-day issues that affect a partnership including profit share, absences etc but also with the situation arising on death or retirement of Partner

A properly drawn contract will give partners peace of mind and remove the opportunity for conflict.

We are happy to talk to you and advise as to the issues that need to be considered before drafting an agreement that is tailored to the requirements of your practice.
